This blog is aiming to explore the inner psychology of the odds before the start of a match.

When and why are they moving??

CASE STUDY 7 PRE-MATCH TRADING LIVERPOOL vs TOTTENHAM 20.1.2010

Watching the odds of todays match between Stoke City vs Liverpool I felt the punters disapointment of Liverpool. Midweak FA CUP defeat against Reading affected the odds big time. The team has millions of problems and this from the betting point of view its easy to be seen.

So this situation stimulates me to start studing Liverpool' s odds for the match against Tottenham at 20.1.2010.

Today 16.1.2010 Liverpool can be backed at 2,6. Market liquidity is poor by now but i expect an augmentation of money matched in the market as days go by.
Todays match against Stoke is going to affect Liverpool's odds against Tottenham so i will be watching closely the odds. Liverpool has big formation problems due to the injuries of significant players.
Let's see...

Udpate 1: Liverpool now is at 1-1 with Stoke and the Lay odds for Tottenhams match got down to 2,54. The liquidity is still very poor. Only 65 Euros to be matched at 2,54.

Update 2: 18.1.2010 morning and Liverpool's odds remain at 2,54
Update 3: 19.1.2010 morning and the odds remain at 2,54. Liquidity is very good at 100.000 euros
Update 4: 20.1.2010 morning, its the day of the match. Now Liverpools odds have fallen to 2,46 (back) 2,48 (lay)
Update 5: 20.1.2010 evening Liverpool' s odds at 2,32 (back) 2,34 (Lay).

This was a good game to trade!!!!
